Privacy Policy — Sort Safari: Animal Sort
Effective date: 2026-07-09
App: Sort Safari: Animal Sort (com.androidfactory09.sortsafari)
Developer: androidfactory09
Applies to: the ad-free versions of the app (every version released to
date).
The short version
**Sort Safari does not collect, store off your device, transmit, sell, or share any
personal information — none.** The game runs fully offline. There are no ads, no
analytics, no accounts, no trackers, and no third-party data services in this
version.
What data the app handles
The only data Sort Safari creates stays on your device:
- Game progress & settings — your levels, coins/gems earned in-game, unlocked
cosmetics, daily streak, and your sound/music/motion preferences. These are saved
locally on your device (standard app storage) so your progress isn't lost between
sessions.
- Optional custom background photo — if you choose a photo from your device to
use as an in-game background, it is used only to draw that background and is
stored locally. It is never uploaded or shared. You can remove it at any time.
The app itself never sends any of this anywhere. The released app does not
request the Internet permission, so it has no ability to transmit your data at
all.
One thing Android itself does, which we should be straight about. Android's
own *Auto Backup* feature is switched on for this app, as it is for most apps by
default. That means Android — not us — may copy your saved game to **your own
Google Drive backup**, so that your safari comes back if you reinstall the game
or move to a new phone. We think that is the right default: losing a collection
you spent months on because you changed phone would be the worst thing this app
could do to you.
To be precise about it: that copy is made by the operating system, into your own
Google account, and we never see it and cannot access it. If you would rather
it did not happen, you can turn backup off for this app in Android's own Settings
→ Google → Backup, and everything will simply stay on the device.
Data we collect: none
We do not collect analytics, crash logs, advertising identifiers, location, contacts,
or any personal or device information. Because nothing is collected, there is nothing
for us to sell or share.
Children's privacy
Sort Safari is not directed to children under 13 — its Google Play target
audience is 13 and over. It contains no ads, no purchases, and no data
collection, so no personal information is collected from anyone, of any age.
We do not knowingly collect anything from a child, because we do not collect
anything at all.
Permissions
- Photos/Media (optional): only used if *you* pick a photo for a custom in-game
background. Declining this has no effect on gameplay.
- Notifications (optional): used only if you turn on the optional daily reminder
(see below). Declining, or leaving it off, has no effect on gameplay.
Optional reminders (notifications)
Sort Safari can send an optional gentle daily reminder that a new puzzle is ready.
This reminder feature is available in this release, but it is strictly opt-in:
Sort Safari asks you inside the app (never on first launch), and **no reminder is ever
sent unless you say yes**. If you never opt in, nothing is scheduled and no
notification permission is used. At most one reminder is sent per day.
- Yours alone, and never sold. If you turn reminders on, Sort Safari notices *when*
you usually play — from the times you open the game, stored **locally on your
device** — so the reminder lands near your own play time. These play times are
never uploaded, shared, or sold. The app never transmits them; the only way
they leave your phone is Android's own Auto Backup, described above under
*What data the app handles*, which copies them to your own Google Drive with the rest of your
save. They are not used for advertising or profiling.
- Gentle by design. At most one reminder per day, delivered only between
9am and 9pm local time, and only when there's genuinely something new
waiting. There are no streak-loss warnings, no fake urgency, and no pressure
of any kind.
- You're always in control. You choose whether to enable reminders (Sort Safari
asks inside the app, never on first launch), and you can turn them off anytime —
from the in-app toggle in Settings or from your phone's system notification
settings.
Enabling reminders does not grant Sort Safari internet access, and it does not
change the fact that no data is collected — nothing about your reminders or play
times is transmitted off your device.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of the app adds features that collect data (for example, optional
ads or purchases), we will update this policy and the Google Play Data Safety section
before that version is released — not after it, so there is never a gap between
the app changing and this page changing.
